This article contains some settings I use for remote debugging web applications using the Jetty and Tomcat containers, and profiling web applications deployed on a remote Tomcat server, using the Eclipse IDE. By remote I mean connecting over a socket, the container can (and does in my case, unless I am connecting from home) listen on a port on the local host.Mon, 17 Mar 2008 08:00:00

The Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors has approved and created a new top-level project called the Eclipse Runtime project (Eclipse RT). The mission of this new top-level project is to foster, promote and house runtime efforts in the Eclipse community. The Project Management Committee (PMC) will be led by Jochen Krause (Innoopract) and Jeff McAffer (Code 9), and will include Douglas Clarke (Oracle), Ricco Deutscher (Sopera) and Thomas Watson (IBM).
