A woman was robbed at gunpoint on Freesia Court near North Campus at about 11:00 p.m. Saturday, the Ann Arbor Police Department reported. AAPD Sergeant Matt Lige said police have made "no significant advances" in the case and have no suspects.
The woman described the thief as a black man of medium build and about six feet tall.

The Ann Arbor City Council revealed plans to move forward with the Ann Arbor Discovering Downtown development plan at an open house Thursday. The five-part project, called A2D2, includes changes to zoning codes, expanded parking options, and a new design requirements for future downtown development.

Internationally-renowned architect Monica Ponce de Leon, who has designed buildings in cities like New York, Paris and Tokyo, will next turn her attention to Ann Arbor. The University announced her appointment as the new Dean of the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning on Tuesday, pending approval by the University Board of Regents.
